The ultrasonic generator inside the ultrasoniclathe tool handle produces mechanical vibrations at ultrasonicfrequencies and focuses the vibration energy on the workingarea of the ultrasonic lathe tool. The periodic vibrations ofthe lathe tool remove material from the workpiece surfacelayer by layer during machining.
